Award winner design: The following object was made for a design contest Zilverdagen in The Netherlands. What makes you emotional? I asked myself.... Being thousands of miles from home. Home is where the heart is. Our beautiful blue planet, Earth, and our mesmerising beautiful Milky way Galaxy Where we can all relate to as our home. Being away from home is like going through a wormhole. The time stops moving forward for me and freeze. When I go back home, everything and everyone has aged significantly. This is really heartbreaking thus I did not see them grow or change. I feel as a stranger to my own home. You travel to find another happy place but does that really exist? Home is where the heart is.... The object is inspired by the milky way spiral form and made with precious and semi-precious materials.
