Mason Carroll
Northern Arizona Bureau Reporter
Arizona's Family
Mason joined Arizona’s Family in 2023 after spending more than two years reporting in Northern California for KRCR.
During Mason’s time in California, she covered several wildfires, including the Dixie Fire, the largest single fire in California’s history. She also covered environmental issues like the impact illegal marijuana farms have on National Forest land.
Like her mom, Mason graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a journalism degree. During college, Mason interned multiple times and worked the assignment desk at the NBC affiliate KXAN. She also spent a semester interning for the CBS Evening News in New York City.
Mason originally became interested in television news through a high school program in her hometown of Lubbock, Texas.
Mason is excited to tell the stories and amplify the voices of Northern Arizona with Arizona’s Family.
When she is not at work, Mason is hiking, paddleboarding, or exploring Northern Arizona with her fiance. They also share a cat named Danny, after the famous journalist Dan Rather.
