The Internet was abuzz over the long weekend, when long-awaited news of Rihanna's makeup line, Fenty Beauty, appeared to have hit the Web. It came courtesy of an Instagram account called FentyBeautyCosmetics, which, while not verified, looked pretty legit. It posted an image of a model wearing pink lipstick, from the Rihanna x Fenty Puma 2017 spring show, and holding a holographic ring in her mouth. The caption claimed a "holographic lip color" will be the first launch of the line. Fans (myself included) completely freaked out. Considering this was the first time we had heard anything of Rihanna's beauty line since last spring, it was easy to believe that this news was true. Sadly, we just learned through Fenty Beauty reps that the page is actually just an unofficial fan page. Since then the post and the entire Instagram account have been deleted.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, fellow RiRi fans. We don't know for sure if a holographic lipstick will be a reality from Fenty Beauty, but there are a few things from the highly anticipated makeup line we do know. Fenty Beauty is indeed happening soon, so that you don't need to worry about. According to the brand's reps, the big launch will happen in fall 2017, with an entire Fenty Beauty squad behind the brand. Rihanna has partnered with renowned makeup artist James Vincent, who will be leading the search for global makeup artists. A few days ago, Vincent posted that Fenty Beauty is looking to hire global makeup artists, meaning you may be able to work with Rihanna herself.
"As always, Rihanna does things differently and is looking to build a diverse team of the best artists in the business. We will be hitting three major makeup cities and hold Open Interviews to find the artist and artists whose talent, drive and personality make them the right person for the position and separate them from the pack," Vincent wrote.

What exactly Fenty Beauty will have in-store for us product-wise is still under wraps. However, we expect bold and bright lipsticks, including a cherry red and most definitely a black, maybe a bronzer to achieve Rihanna's natural island glow, and a liquid eyeliner because we know Ri loves her a fierce cat eye. Luckily, there'll be an equally fierce Fenty Beauty army to help guide us through it all.
