The new TL623 telehandler from Bobcat has a lift capacity of 6,000 pounds and reach of 23 feet, as well as compatibility with an array of attachments.

“The TL623 gives operators the flexibility to accomplish a variety of demanding tasks with superior precision and efficiency,” said Jamison Wood, product development specialist for Bobcat. “It’s ideal for agriculture, construction, landscaping, snow removal, and many other applications that require a high-performing and versatile tool carrier.”

Performance

The TL623 has a 74-hp engine, capable of achieving worksite performance without the need for a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or selective catalyst reduction — meaning no downtime for DPF regeneration.

The telehandler has five modes to fit different operational needs.

  • ECO mode: Allows operators to maintain hydraulic performance without using the engine’s full power. This works at lower rpm, with less noise, and lower fuel consumption.
  • Smooth drive mode: Ideal for driving across job sites with mild acceleration and deceleration while carrying loads.
  • Dynamic drive mode: Increases responsiveness of acceleration and deceleration for traveling between tasks.
  • Flex drive mode: Manages the engine speed independently from travel speed.
  • Advanced attachment control mode: Enables full auxiliary hydraulic performance.

It’s also built with the Power Bob-Tach mounting system for fast attachment changes, and is compatible with a wide variety of pallet forks, buckets, grapples, and snowblowers.

The TL623 is built with a box-welded frame for rigidity, and a low center of gravity for stability. The shielded bottom plate protects components, while the engine, cooling system, and critical components are protected in the center of the chassis for minimal wear and tear.

The machine is also built with a cold-weather start and easy-access maintenance points. Engine compartment accessibility puts routine maintenance checks, filters, and other engine components in easy reach, as well as the oil filter and other service points.

Comfort and control

The TL623 cab comes standard with an air-suspension seat, HVAC system, and 5-inch LCD display. The cab has been tested to ROPS and FOPS level II standards. The boom is low-profile to sit below the operator's eye level when not in use, and wipers on the front, top, and rear windows keep visibility clear from the cab. Mirrors on the left and right add visibility, and an optional rear mirror kit, rear view camera kit, and boom work light kit also are available.

The TL623 uses Bobcat’s Smart Handling System for boom movement via joystick control, and has a 7-pin Attachment Control Device for additional control over some attachments. The joystick controls travel direction, lift and tilt functions, boom extension, and auxiliary hydraulics. The joystick also has fingertip control to shift direction or into neutral. The 2-speed travel switch, lift-arm float, boom extension, machine function settings, and auxiliary hydraulics are also located on the rear of the joystick.

Price and availability

The Bobcat TL623 starts at $116,397, and will be available to order later this winter. For more information, visit bobcat.com.
