Induction Motor is the most popular rotatory machine used in the industry. Thus, it requires a major periodical revision, because any fault during the operation can be catastrophic. A critical fault is the Broken Rotor Bar, which starts very small and increases until breaks the bar. Thereby, the machine, which has a defect of this type, will increase the possibility to develop others faults that contribute to a rapid and dramatic decrease in its structural integrity. In this paper, a novelty technique to detect Half-Broken Rotor Bar fault is presented, it is based on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, where the differentiation between signals without fault and signals with fault is possible.
