Optical crystallography challenges the Principle of Relativity.

The Shortest Embarrassing Papers on Special Relativity. 9/12 A series of mini-articles on special relativity. January-February 2023. Antonio Leon. Retired Professor. Independent researcher in the fundamentals of science. Links to other papers of this series / Author web page at amazon Abstract. Optical crystallography challenges the Principle of Relativity. M is any optically isotropic object and AB any direction through M. In the proper reference frame RFo of M, light travels through M with the same speed from A to B as from B to A. According to Lorentz Transformation, in any other inertial reference frame, light travels through M with different speed from A to B than from B to A [1], except in the direction perpendicular to relative motion. So, RFo is the only frame in which optical isotropy can be observed, which calls into question the Principle of Relativity. Reference [1] Antonio León. Relativity of optical isotropy. Part 1.
