From last decade due to the development of the technology an education system in India has become so advanced. Smart class, video conferencing is some of the examples of modern trends in educational system. These applications help the institute to move forward for quick growth, fulfill their vision and accomplish their goals, E-way. The core idea of research project is to implement application based on android for attendance management system for advancement of institution and educational system We have seen over the years that the process of manual attendance has been carried out in schools, colleges and institutions .Such monitoring and maintenance of the student attendance using traditional approach is really a hectic process, because of using pen and paper. The problem with this approach is that it requires lots of paper work that is the part of our non-renewable natural resources. We are in the digitalization era where we have to think about sustainable development. We are developing the android application (e-school) which provides an alternate way. E-school application record the attendance using android mobile phone, maintain the attendance in database for easy and proper evaluation of attendance. Application also provide services like generating result, maintaining the fees structure and sends the sms to parents because parent can only get the information about their ward after the interaction with teachers and it is not possible to them to visit the school monthly. So, we tried to bring the system which enables parent to receive the academic performance of their ward of regularity on daily or monthly basis.

Most educational institutions administrators are concerned about irregular attendance of students. Nonattendance can affect student overall academic performance. The conventional method to take attendance by calling names or signing on paper is very time consuming and insecure, hence this method is inefficient. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based attendance system is one of the solutions for this problem. This system can be used to take attendance for student in school, college, university and also for workers in working places. Its ability to uniquely identify each person based on their RFID ID card make the process of taking the attendance easier, faster and secure as compared to conventional method. Students or workers only need to place their ID card on the RFID reader and their attendance will be taken immediately. By real time clock capability of the system, attendance taken be more accurate since the time for the attendance taken is recorded. The system can be connected to the pc through RS232 or Universal Serial Bus (USB) port and store the attendance taken in SD card. Another way of viewing the recorded attendance is by using HyperTerminal software. A prototype of the system has been successfully fabricated. The proposed project will be implemented in applications such as online study material, notices, academic calendar and online reminders of examination, online attendance record, performance record, and parent intimation system using Android applications. This system helps teacher to take attendance through smartphone and keep record of students for their progressive assessment. This system gives a prior intimation to student as soon as their attendance goes below the specified attendance threshold in the form of an SMS.

To maintain the attendance records, several government organisations and educational institutions in many countries still depend on the paper-based attendance approach. This approach has presented several disadvantages such as time-consuming and wastage of environmental resources. There is a necessity to change these traditional methods of attendance recording with more efficient ones. Thus, many works have been done in this direction. Moreover, this study aims to analyse the most recent studies on automated attendance systems regarding the timeline. Our critical review has highlighted studies in the existing literature concerning technology, application domain, and main findings. Moreover, shed light on most numerous studies on any of three previous aspects.

Day by Day, the concept of smart and value of time are widely increasing in every work we do and at every place. Considering some commercial organizations and Educational Institutions, we modified some existing biometric attendance systems and enabled IoT using open-source internet platform boards to collect the presence of an individual in an organization or in any kind of educational institution. The improved technology of open source internet boards and various Display modules enabled us to feature our project as a Biometric Attendance System with Compromised Circuitry using IoT. The following paper explains the overview of the project using some flowcharts and a wide future scope of the project. I. INTRODUCTION Earlier technologies like RFID, are used for making attendance of an individual presence in an organization or educational institution. And still at places like toll gates still these RFID cards are widely used with upgraded strong RFID signal receivers and invisible nano RFID. But it is hard to maintain such systems in any organization where their use allows them to commit different anti-purpose usage by the same or a different individual of that respective RFID tag. To bypass those acts Fingerprints came to rise to be the best option in the present days. The reason behind this is, fingerprints are unique from person to person and the deeply involved technology behind their recognition made biometric identification systems more secure compared to RFID technology. And the combination of improved technology in open-sourced internet boards and display modules, with these biometric systems, made our project circuitry compromised.
This study provides a unique insight to computerization of attendance registration system with the exploitation of Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle technology. The development of this software originated from the importance of records of students' attendance that influences academic accomplishments in higher institutions of learning.
Smartphone usage has revolutionized the world to many settings including that of the education system with numerous potential and realized benefits. While the functions of smartphones, such as text messaging, multimedia, and Internet connectivity, may seem purely recreational, they can be used within the academic institution to manage students attendance to speed up the process of taking attendance by academic instructors, hence reduces time, human errors and redundant works as compared to the manual attendance system. In this paper, we introduced an automatic examination attendance system on smartphones based on the Barcode to automatically capture student examination attendance. Although many existing systems (Sudha et al. 2015) have been proposed using smartphones for automatic student attendance, there is little study known about a system that is specifically designed for capturing student examination attendance. The main difference among our system and existing systems is that existing systems are using extra hardware device Barcode reader while our system is using smartphone, which highly reduce the cost. Our experiment shows that our proposed student examination attendance system is better for capturing the student attendance information during the examination as compared to the general student attendance systems.
