Liberal Arts Management: Undergraduate Minor and Master of Arts
Learning Outcomes:
• Finance: Students will acquire fluency in the language and practice of the financial aspects of
business and industry, including methods of measuring and reporting on business operations,
managing cash flow, and fiduciary responsibility.
• Leadership: Students will acquire leadership skills and knowledge of team-based and individual
problem solving, communication, strategic planning, organizational behavior, and legal matters.
• Critical Perspectives: Students will approach the marketplace from a liberal arts perspective,
examining global issues, economic trends, and the historical, political, and social roots of the
forces that shape the world of business.
• Integration: Students will make connections between their major area of study and the skills
and competencies learned throughout the program, especially through specific courses and
internships connecting theory to practice in related employment areas.
Program Requirements
• Students in the undergraduate minor must complete 18 hours of coursework. Required courses
are indicated with a *.
• Students in the Master of Arts program will complete 30 hours of coursework, including an
internship. Required courses applicable only to the MA are indicated by **.
