Attention has been paid to the fact that design load case combinations and design combinations of the internal forces caused by these loads have got a different probability of implementation. This fact has been is illustrated by the example of the crane loads, where the traditional calculation does not take into account such random factors as position of the crane bridge and position of the trolley on the crane bridge. Analysis has been performed using statistical modelling. Results of the modelling has been also presented. It has been suggested that there is a specific way to include load combination factors into the calculation formulas by which inclusion of temporary load in a design load case combination should be performed with combinational value of the loadcombination factor decreased when including each new temporary load.

The problem of truck cranes is considered, in particular, the issues of ensuring the strength of the supporting structure of the chassis in different modes of operation, taking into account the peculiarities of the technological cycle. In truck cranes, the load loads are unevenly distributed. They depend not only on the weight of the crane and the load, but also on the position of the rotating part of the crane relative to the non-rotating, as well as on the departure of the boom. Loads on the support surface are transmitted through the outriggers. During the operation of the truck crane, the load on each remote support does not remain constant. Estimated loads, namely loads from the crane installation and cargo, will take into account different values of cargo weight, departure and crane height. In the new hall of the Institute for Materials and Structures, there was a need to control the geometry of the existing crane rails. In this paper, the methodology for determining the geometry of such a complex structure is presented, and the results of the applied method are also presented. The final product, i.e. the examined geometry of crane rails included numerical and graphical analysis of straightness, analysis of parallelism and analysis of horizontality of crane rails.
