REMARKS ON GUSTAVO BONTADINI ON (HUSSERL'S) «ONTOLOGICAL INTENTIONALITY, 2023
This paper has a twofold objective. On the one hand, it offers a reconstruction of the way in which Gustavo Bontadini understands the function of Husserl's phenomenology within his own account of the history of modern philosophy (this being the more historical ambition of the present text). On the other hand, by tackling the systematic problem of how Bontadini understands the nature of «experience» (the Unity of Experience or UoE), its goal is to outline a basic interpretation of Husserl's ontological intentionality. As will be argued, despite what Bontadini himself claims, Husserl's doctrine of intentionality and of the ontological import of intentionality cannot at all be superimposed on Bontadini's own view of UoE.

Ulf Johansson Dahre: Indigenous peoples and the right to self-determination: selfdetermination towards a new meaning? The beginning of the last decade of the 20th century has seen the end of a distinet era in international relations. This era, encompassing the years 1945-1990, was the era of decolonization, in which self-determination was defined or understood in relation to decolonization in the third world. This era also brought a distinet definition of self-determination. Entitled to self-determination were the peoples of European overseas colonies. Minorities and indigenous peoples excluded. However, a redefinition, or an extension of the concept, is ocurring. It is likely that self-determination will become a legal right of indigenous peoples, but not explicitly recognizing secession, but a right to political and social participation within the existing States. In the transition from colonial to postcolonial contexts, self-determination is becoming a means of conflict resolutio...
In the House of Heqanakht: Text and Context in Ancient Egypt. Studies in Honor of James P. Allen, 2022
In 1907 the American archaeologist George Reisner uncovered the earliest attested Egyptian royal decree in Menkaure’s pyramid temple in Giza. In the decree, the king Shepseskaf announces his completion of the Menkaure pyramid complex, and the presentation of pekher (pXr) offerings for the cult of his royal predecessor. Between 2019 and 2020 Ancient Egypt Research Associates (AERA) has been excavating material clues linked to the content of Shepseskaf’s decree in the Menkaure Valley Temple (MVT). A combination of recent archaeological discoveries and reinterpreted textual evidence sheds light on the administrative and everyday life of an Old Kingdom tax-exempted village, as well as its position within the broader Giza network of settlements and necropoleis.

Sociocultural theory is a great theory for learning and for teaching the students. Moreover, it believes that learning L2 should be a helpful accomplishment not an unmediated process. Sociocultural theory emphasizes that, instruction and interaction is very crucial method for L2 development in ESL classroom and Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) ensures learner’s actual sociocultural growth. Therefore, this paper examines sociocultural theory in an ESL classroom and shows implementation of theories in practical teaching life.

It argues that systematic collection and analysis of fragmentary and difficult‐to‐identify earthen materials is challenging, yet crucial. These materials inform on activities of which traces are preserved in the archaeological record but which have been largely under‐ ‐researched. Flourishing studies on earthen findings foreground architectural materials, such as mudbrick, and well‐preserved features and objects. However, earthen objects and architectural features were utilized more widely than in building architecture and only a small portion of excavated sites has good preservation. We, therefore, present the different categories of earthen materials discovered at Kaymakçı, specifically ar‐ chitecture, installations, and portable items. Our work demonstrates that by incorporating new knowledge of archaeological remains at the site and re‐studying the earthen assemblage it is possible to gain a better understanding of the morphological, functional, and social aspects of this dataset.
