The study on the destroyed vaulted corridors around the burial chamber of the Mausoleum of Augustus, was commissioned by the Superintendency of Monuments and Excavations of the City of Rome for the 'international design competition for the redevelopment of the Mausoleum Augustus and the Piazza Augusto Imperatore ', and the text of the article was also included in the Preliminary Design Document.

Apoteosi. Da uomini a dei. Il Mausoleo di Adriano
Gaius Stern's translation (bilingual) Nadia Agnoli, Elisabetta Carnabuci, Giovanni Caruso, Ersila Maria Loretti, "Il Mausoleo di Augusto. Recenti scavi e nuove ipotesi ricostruttive" (2014) “The Mausoleum of Augustus: Recent Excavations and New Hypotheses on its Reconstruction”2014 •
I have translated into English for scholars who wish to compare to the Italian this very valuable article on the history and excavations on the Mausoleum of Augustus. I am not an author, merely an translator. The authors are Nadia Agnoli, Elisabetta Carnabuci, Giovanni Caruso, Ersila Maria Loretti (academia will not allow me to add all of them). This is the bilingual version, there is also an English-only version on my Academia page. I find it a thorough study of the ownership and archeological projects on the Mausoleum (mentioning its other names).

This book is the complete study of the cemetery associated with the Palaeochristian church at Vaste (southern Apulia), in use between the 4th-6th centuries. It includes the systematic presentation of archaeological and bioarchaeological data. The concluding chapters offer a reconstruction of the main aspects of the funerary ritual.
