st 1 Joint Meeting of Young Ornithologists Vienna, 4-6 November 2016 To support the connections among young ornithologists in Europe, the German Ornithologists Society invites, with support by the European Ornithologists Union, all interested students up to PhD level to the Institute of Zoology, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria. This will be an excellent opportunity to present and discuss your own work among your peers and get in touch with selected senior Ornithologists in a relaxed environment. The accommodation is dorm style with 4‐6 persons in one room. While submitting your abstract please indicate if you want to join in the accommodation we provide and/or if you want to Registration fees including accommodation in dorm Member of the DO‐G: 55 EUR Members of the EOU: 75 EUR All other 100 EUR Please submit the registration fee on or before 6 October 2016 to (account will be provided soon) Presentation Each accepted participant should give a 20 minute talk on the BSc/MSc/PhD topic. After each presentation there will be the chance to discuss in the plenary for 10 minutes. Travel support We have a limited amount to support travel. We will support travel on a first comes first served basis up to a maximum of 100 EUR for train travel from Germany/Austria/Switzerland and 350 EUR from elsewhere within the EOU area. Accommodation will be covered only in the dorms (see above). We urge to use the cheapest available option that we can cover as many as possible participants. We will reimburse the actually used travel costs only after the following rules have been complied with: ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ Accommodation in the dorm we provide.
