    An unexpectedly great lamp to provide light over my keyboard
    My beloved Ikea LED lamps were dying and I needed replacements. However, I needed a simple LED lamp because I wanted it plugged into a smart plug managed through automation. A lot of these cheap LED laps require you to physically turn on the switch, which I didn't want to have to do. After some thought, I realized that an over-the-monitor lamp might be the solution: I just wanted light on the keyboard but not in my eyes. I stumbled across this lamp and decided to try it. I have only the one monitor but having the entire area around the keyboard well-lit was also important.You can see from the first image that the lamp "wings" are quite wide. I love how each half of the lamp can rotate forwards and backwards so you can have light pointed down and not have the glare in your eyes. I was concerned about the lamp on the right being so close to my tablet, but the LEDs don't generate heat towards the tablet. The casing around the LED lens does get a little warm to the touch but it's not bad at all. The area behind my monitor is quite deep and I have a monitor arm holding it up, so I simply clamped the lamp to the monitor arm.Secondly, the brightness is adjustable, so you can find a comfortable level. I was afraid that since the lamp comes with a separate controller, the lamp might not simply turn on to my previous settings, but it DOES. It is doing exactly what I need it to do -- respond to the smart home automation and come on along with the other lights in my Alexa Routine.The second photo shows how I added a couple of post-it notes over my webcam to prevent the light going into the webcam lens. You can tell from the illumination that it's just needed at the corners, but now my auto-adjusting white balance in the webcam is unaffected by the lamp.       I have dual 27" monitors at my pc desk. The desk is a 70's wooden monster with a 1" thick top. The clamp opens to almost twice that and is heavy enough construction that I was able to make it good & tight without a problem. The flex neck bends easily but stays exactly where you put it, and if you happen to bump it it doesn't shake much at all. Solid. Thee two light bars are hinged, so they match the angle between the monitors. Also, each light bar rotates front to back independently from each other. And the lights are masked so they shine only within a narrow angle. They shine straight down in front of the monitors without actually shining on them. The front come down right at the edge of the desk, not into my eyes. The wireless remote (2 AAA batts, not included) is shaped so it sits on the desk, I can put it wherever is easiest to reach. Nice functioning of both the brightness and color temp buttons, if you hold them down, they go smoothly throught their entire range. If you tap them, they go from lowest to highest (or warmest to coolest) in about 5 steps. Then there is a Night Light button, one shot goes to lowest brightness and lowest color temp. Natural Light button one shot to about 50% brightness and color temp. Also a timer button, haven't tried it yet, I think it's supposed to turn off the light after an hour. I'm very impressed with this light.

      This replaced an old "Pixar type" lamp that finally broke at the base. I was looking to replace it with a similar type but all the lamps I found had the control on the power cord which won't work for my situation. Then I came across this light. Sure, it's a bit pricier than others but worth every penny! The quality is really good and I love the sleek design and flexibility of the lights and how they can be positioned. What really sold it for me was the remote control "puck" that is so cool and, for my situation, is perfect. It allows me to turn the light off without having to reach under to grab the cord and also has plenty of controls for brightness, color temp, and other settings. I'm able to place it wherever I need for easy access. The light is bright and, again, build quality is way above average. I love it and have no regrets. Great product!

      Excellent coverage. I have two 27 inch monitors and it covers the desk well.
      PROS:
      1. The arms can rotate as well as move which help in pretty much all lighting scenarios.
      2. The cable plugs in at the base of the connecting rod - so it makes the table top very clean and devoid of any cables.
      3. It has a great remote that was paired with it out of the box. Another great thing with easy on off and operations without wires all over the place.
      4. The light colors changed well from white to warm yellow and was pretty bright to cover my needs.
      5. It remembers the brightness or color temp that was set last. so we do not. need to redo it.

      CONS:
      The remote switch - All controls are great except the brightness controller. It is a single button that cycles around. So you need to keep tapping on it to reduce the brightness when you need. you don't know how many levels. So you need to keep a count at what point is it the lowest based on where it was earlier. If you miss one, it cycles back to brightest and you need to keep tapping and know when to stop.
      There is a switch to MAX brightness which is great. however pressing it will always take it to white light.
      Minor annoyances but overall a great light - I would recommend getting it.

      I think this is a great product. I needed something for work that helped ease my eye strain due to light sensitivity. When searching for a monitor light I saw that there were many less expensive options available, however I went with this one because of the reviews and multiple settings (4-5 brightness levels, yellow lighting or bright lighting, timer, etc.). It is working great so far and I am really impressed.

      I really appreciate the very easy and functional touch settings pad that is battery operated and not attached to the light fixture itself. This allows me to keep it close by and adjust the settings when necessary. I also really like that the lights tilt so I can have them directly projecting onto my screen or I can turn them around to bounce off my cubicle wall, allowing for a more soft overhead light.

      I recently purchased a different model from a computer store that was on sale for $17 (single light, not double like this one) for my home computer, and it just does not compare. It feels cheaper and does not come with the same settings as this one. I have learned to buy quality items that I will only have to buy once versus less expensive items that require replacing more often. This light feels heavy duty and does an amazing job.

      I purchased 5 before I landed on one I liked. This lamp had a simple and unobtrusive design; the gooseneck really is high quality and easy to adjust with no memory. The lights are low profile but bright with just the right throw angle. The pivot design works well. I also the the control box above all others and the ease of changing settings.
      The only caveat is if you lose the control box, the light is useless.
