- Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2025Makes set up so easy
- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2025The product description stated it was specific for the manufacturer's bit(s). I used it to set up my Langership's 45 degree lock bits. The set up block did what I wanted it to do, it got me close, and with minimal tweaking, I got it right. Pretty well pleased.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2025Makes the process a whole lot easier.
Thanks
- Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2024My lock miter bit is Rockler X003QPOLY3. This bit can be used at different heights to accommodate board different thickness including 3/4” and 1/2”.
This setup jig has different size profiles on each side and is supposed to be used with two differently shaped bits. I thought it would be the same profile on both side set at different heights. Neither side fits my bit. I could recut the jig to make it work but don’t need a $20 piece of plastic to do that.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2022I had 24 storage boxes to build. I chose the lock miter joint as I would not need a truck full of clamps to hold the boxes together until the glue dried, I would have needed a thousand pocket hole screws, to build them that way.
A couple of staples to tack the assembled, glued joint held until the glue joint dried.
Setting up for the lock miter joint can take a good amount of time.
This block will hand you the set up for 1/2” and 3/4” ply.
Worked great.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2021I bought a 1/2 Inch Shank Lock Miter Router Bit 45 Degree, 1/2 Inch to 1 Inch Stock, 2-3/4 Inch Diameter, CNC Wood Router Bits by NITOMAK(Carbide) and then bought this setup block thinking that the bits were universal, but they are not. The cutting edge of the upper section is much thicker than the setup block. Will have to return it.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2021After reading the reviews that it doesn't work with this bit or that bit, I was sceptical about buying this jig. I bought a cheap bit and was worried it wouldn't work with that bit, but after some thought, I bought the jig, does it fit 100% with the cheap bit, no, but was close enough that I didn't have to modify the router up/down, it worked first time, and if anyone has ever set up a lock mitre router bit, it can be pretty tricky getting the right height, but this worked first try... Very impressed..
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2024For initial setup this will get you started. It's best to use some scrap of the same thickness to fine tune the depth and your router fence.

1.0 out of 5 stars haven't got this to work.
My husband tried this so he could show my how to use this. I am new to woodworking so he tries new things first. He worked one afternoon with it and still couldn't get it to work accurately.
