My truck is Volvo Xc60 2013. Very easy to set up the who mirror cam. It took me about 15 mins to setup without connecting the rear cam to the backup light. This camera is worth every Norwegian kroner I have spent!! The front camera quality is very good in the day time and also not bad at night where there are street lights. Just installed the rear camera inside my car the quality too is not bad where there is lighting. It is not as I expected but it may because I have a tinted back windshield but cam is good for backup. I have a wide rear view and I don't think I will ever feel comfortable driving with the OE interior mirror with the boost from the rear camera. For my Volvo, I had excess length. I also realised after parking the Cam takes a view videos even though the engine is turned off. I plan to hardwire and have 24hr surveillance. To day I saw that somebody got too close to my front bumper. It recorded the car including the reg. number.

The downside is the location of the front camera on the main cam. When I want to place the cam on the existing mirror it does not fit it perfectly. When I try to pull it to the right side to get a good fit I realise that the camera on cam chokes the edge of the OE camera. So I have mounted it but there is still a small part of the OE mirror showing on the right side. Probably if the front camera was located under instead of side wards it will not block it from adjusting to get it fit perfectly on the OE mirror. When one looks at the video one realises the part holding the rear interior mirror (the bulge) is visible in the video. Maybe those intending to buy for Volvo need to know this. I have adjusted the camera but the bulge is still there. My sequoia does not have the bulging part.
There is glare from on coming cars making it at times difficult to read reg numbers. This is also applicable to the rear cam. Hope this will last.
Will update the community after 2 months. So far I give them 5 stars rating.

Pretty straight forward, easy to install, and works well. The automatic sensor is EXTREMELY sensitive, it pretty much continually beeps at EVERYTHING on the road!!! It's a useless feature because of that. I just turned it off and use it without the auto sensor.

The unit is pretty heavy, as it keeps weighing down my rearview mirror it's attached to, so I'm constantly having to readjust it. The card slot is on the top of the unit, instead of the bottom, which is a pain, and you have to have long fingernails or tweezers to get the card in or out. The other problem is the lenses being "fish eye", which makes the images look like they are three times the distance farther than they actually are, which can be a hazard. The last problem is, you can't use it as a regular rearview mirror, because the glass is too dark. They should have had a top or bottom fixture to attach this unit onto the top or bottom of your regular rearview mirror, instead of over it.

Other than that, it works very well. It has clear, sharp images, and I use my rear view on it for backing up sometimes.

Worth the money? Compared to the price of other dashcams, yes.

If you are looking for an inexpensive dashcam with a large display, then this is probably what you need.

My car does have a backup camera that turns on when my car is in reverse (which is why I didn't feel the need to connect the backup camera to the backup lights, but if you need to, you could do that ), but this dashcam allows me to see the backup view whenever I want to,and to me It’s a peace of mind. And of course it also functions like a dash cam, as long as the car is on it’s always recording, and any accident footage is automatically saved. So far I have not had anything happen to my car when it‘s parked so I have not been able to test the parking mode

Camera worked great from 3/2020 to 11/2021 until it started shutting itself off immediately. Tried various resets between using the recessed reset button and the power button and applying power. The power button on the thing has never been good. Barely touch it and it will turn on or off depending on its current state. Now the button will not "un-press" - causing the immediate shutdown of the unit. Removing the power button released the switch behind it and the unit will now stay on but of course now I have to remove the power to shut it off.

The unit itself is very heavy and causes the mirror to tilt down. If I could go back and do it all over again I would go with a different product.

Had it installed by a car audio shop. Got mainly for the back up camera feature for my wife’s car (2014 Acura TSX) since it didn’t have one. Having the parking guidelines whenever we backup into a parking spot helps a lot. The dash cam features are great for both front & back cameras. One thing to note during daytime & it’s bright outside the rear view mirror image does get washed out so you to set the brightness at maximum.
