Scratches Disappear

So Amazing!

So Amazing!
I had a big tar blob on the hood of my Jeep, and could not get it off. I ended up using a plastic scour pad lightly with some other product to get it off, and ended up with a huge scuff mark on my hood. Tried this product, which goes on easily and removes even easier, worked fantastic (had to use 4X, but it’s quick and simple). I’d highly recommend, as the embarrassing scuff mark is gone altogether. Unbelievable product! Thank you 3M!

While waiting for my car at the car wash, I realized someone had side swiped the front of my 2018 white Honda Civic. I couldn't believe it. I decided to purchase this product and just used it. OH MY GOSH! It eliminated all of the scratches and even old ones that have been there since I bought the car. This stuff is incredible!!! Obviously deep scratches and paint peeled remains but everything else, GONE! This was so worth it! I am recommending it to my family and will use it again!!

This has worked very well for me the two times I've used it. One from white garage paint scuffing my grey vehicle and the most recent from something orange that scraped my girlfriend's white sideview mirror. I wish I had taken a before and after photo, but the mirror was nearly completely orange and she was expecting to need to purchase a replacement. After using this, you would never know anything happened. Please know that this product is not intended for deep damage but has worked great for my issues which were mostly surface damage.

There are so many negative reviews of this product due to the ambiguous description and the name 3M has chosen. Apparently people think that this is a miracle in a bottle that will make vandalism/key damage go away. Please, understand what you are buying. Read the bottle! "Removes fine scratches and swirl marks." That's all it does!

Rubbing compound comes in a variety of "grits" just like sandpaper. 3M 03900 compound is a "fine" compound and won't take out car wash brush scratches or key damage without HOURS AND HOURS of rubbing - and you would probably go right through the clear coat anyway!

This product is finer than 3M 03900 compound. When you are using rubbing compound by hand or with a machine, you get the finish looking pretty good but often you have very very fine, hairlike scratches in the finish. You may also get fine scratches like this from drying your car with a cloth that's not quite soft enough... Tiny, tiny scratches you can barely see when the light hits the car just right. THAT is what this product removes.

This product does not work. I followed the instructions, and guess what? It simply doesn't remove or hide the scratch in any way. The light hair scratch on my vehicle is still there. And you can still clearly see it. I was fooled into thinking if I purchased a 3M branded product, that it would work. Its a complete waste of money. You still have to go to a professional body shop, and they can remove the scratch and make your car look like new. Thats why they earn the big bucks. Plain and simple. Your not going to be able to remove a scratch by only paying $9. Your going to have to pluck over the $300 to a body shop to get the job done. So if you buy this product, then you'll end up paying $309 instead. Don't waste your money. Your better off buying a toothbrush and deodorant for $9.

WORKS BUT TAKE A LOT OF HARD WORK

This will get rid of the day to day light scuffs and swirl marks from the car wash and light scratches from clothes brushing against your car. It takes almost no effort. Dab it on and use a paper towel to rub it clean and "voila" the marks disappear.

I did try it on some deeper scratches my daughter put in her passenger side door (a two inch wide, five foot long scratch from a railing she supposedly didn't see!!) It got about 90% of the scratch out, the remaining was just too deep, it blended the remaining well, but you can still see it in direct sunlight at certain angles. Given it would have cost $800 at a body shop, I'll take the hour and $11 bucks I spent and call it a day.

3M added a bit of lubricant to their Scratch Remover which helps keep it from solidifying during use and that makes this product better than every other same-type. I use it on my car, my watch collection and any other surface subject to scratch. Terrific product from a great company..3M has it!
