Executive Summary

Xu Yuan received a B.S. degree from College of Information Technology, Nankai University, China, in 2009, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Virginia Tech, in 2014 and 2016, respectively. From 2016 to 2017, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow of Electrical and Computer Engineering with the University of Toronto, Canada. He has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Delaware since August 2023. Before joining UDel, he was an Hardy Edmiston Endowed Associate Professor in School of Computing and Informatics, University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His current research focuses on the data science, machine learning, cybersecurity, and AI for interdisciplinary applications. He received the NSF CRII Award in 2020 and the NSF CAREER Award in 2022.
