TWO WHITE JADE SWORD SLIDES
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The larger is carved in high relief with a chilong with long, bifurcated tail; the smaller is carved in relief with archaistic scrolls and at one end with a taotie mask. The stone of each sword slide is semi-translucent.
3 3/8 in. (4 ½ cm.) long

William S. Arnett Collection, Atlanta, Georgia, acquired prior to 1971.

On loan: High Museum of Art, Atlanta, Georgia, September 1973 to September 1980.
