Small Stone Records is an American record label based in Detroit, MI. It was founded in 1995 by Scott Hamilton and is a self-dubbed "heavy rock" label. The label has released a number of stoner rock compilation albums, as well as releases by Dozer, Five Horse Johnson, Los Natas, Halfway To Gone, Solace, and many others in the stoner rock, indie, blues-rock, and psychedelic genres.
Small Stone Records was founded in Detroit, Michigan by Scott Hamilton in 1995, who remains owner and operator. Hamilton claims he mostly started the label to put out records by friends and his favorite bands such as Big Chief, The Laughing Hyenas, Mule, and Slot. Hamilton started the label with a $5000 loan and named it after the Small Stone effects pedal made by Electro-Harmonix.
The label's first release was a single by 36-D, which had members of Big Chief, Born Without a Face, and Slot. The label's first album release was a 1995 compilation titled Detroit Rust City, which sold 1,000 copies the first week, and featured Kid Rock and Big Chief. Shortly afterward the label released Morsel's sophomore EP. In 1997 the label released an album by Perplexa, a band which included a member from WIG, who later went on to become West Indian Girl. Five Horse Johnson also signed to the label that year. The label initially featured a number of different rock genres but soon began focusing on the blues rock, psychedelic rock and stoner rock genres, and what Hamilton dubs "heavy rock."
In geology, rock or stone is a naturally occurring solid aggregate of one or more minerals or mineraloids. For example, the common rock granite is a combination of the quartz, feldspar and biotite minerals. The Earth's outer solid layer, the lithosphere, is made of rock.
Rocks have been used by mankind throughout history. From the Stone Age, rocks have been used for tools. The minerals and metals found in rocks have been essential to human civilization.
Three major groups of rocks are defined: igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. The scientific study of rocks is called petrology, which is an essential component of geology.
At a granular level, rocks are composed of grains of minerals, which, in turn, are homogeneous solids formed from a chemical compound that is arranged in an orderly manner. The aggregate minerals forming the rock are held together by chemical bonds. The types and abundance of minerals in a rock are determined by the manner in which the rock was formed. Many rocks contain silica (SiO2); a compound of silicon and oxygen that forms 74.3% of the Earth's crust. This material forms crystals with other compounds in the rock. The proportion of silica in rocks and minerals is a major factor in determining their name and properties.
Stone (first name and dates unknown) was an English cricketer who played in major cricket matches for Kent in 1751.
Stone played in two major matches in 1751 for Kent against the All-England Eleven. On 20 and 21 May, he was a member of the Kent team that lost by 9 runs at the Artillery Ground. A return match was arranged at the same venue on 22 May and All-England won by an innings and 9 runs, with Stone again a member of the Kent team.
Stone was also named in two single wicket "fives" matches that were held on 3 and 5 June at the Artillery Ground. In both games, he played for Kent against Surrey, Kent winning each time.
Stone is only recorded on those four occasions and it is not known if he played regularly in earlier and later seasons. Players were rarely mentioned by name in contemporary reports and there are no other known references to Stone.
Annie Gautrat, better known by her stage name Stone (born in Paris on 31 July 1947) is a French singer and actor, and very notably part of the musical duo Stone et Charden with her then-husband Éric Charden. the duo were famous in the 1970s with many hits in France and internationally.
In 1966, Gautrat (Stone) was taking part in the "Miss Beatnik" competition where Éric Charden was a member of the jury. They were acquainted after the competition and got married the same year. Already having separate musical careers, they decided to form the duo known as Stone et Charden in 1971. They became hugely popular "L'Avventura" in 1972 and "Made in Normandie" in 1973.
She also took part in the French musical comedy Mayflower written by Guy Bontempelli and music composed by Charden. Other actors included Pascale Rivault, Christine Delaroche, Patrick Topaloff, Gregory Ken, Roland Magdane, Roger Miremont and Mario d'Alba.
Soon artistic, mediatic and family tensions resulted in a divorce and break-up of the duo in 1975 with each member pursuing a separate sole musical career. Éric Charden married Pascale Rivault, whereas Stone later married actor Mario d'Alba with whom she had 2 children, Martin and Daisy.

told you so
if you could just let go
let's get this right
let's take our time
let's get this right
now we feel just fine
we got ourselves untied
in this dark hotel
we found a wishing well
and we're prepared for the worst
so prepared yourself for the worst
