"Remix (I Like The)" is a song by American pop group New Kids on the Block from their sixth studio album, 10. The song was released as the album's lead single on January 28, 2013. "Remix (I Like The)" was written by Lars Halvor Jensen, Johannes Jørgensen, and Lemar, and it was produced by Deekay. The song features Donnie Wahlberg and Joey McIntyre on lead vocals.

"Remix (I Like The)" did not enter the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, becoming their first lead single to fail charting since "Be My Girl" (1986). Instead, the song peaked at number 38 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.

Critical reception

PopCrush gave the song 3.5 stars out of five. In her review Jessica Sager wrote, "The song sounds like an adult contemporary answer to The Wanted mixed with Bruno Mars‘ ‘Locked Out of Heaven.’ It has a danceable beat like many of the British bad boys’ tracks, but is stripped down and raw enough to pass for Mars’ latest radio smash as well." Carl Williott of Idolator commended the song's chorus, but criticized its "liberal use of Auto-Tune" and compared Donnie Wahlberg's vocals to Chad Kroeger.

Remix was an Indian television series produced by Rose Audio Visuals, which used to air on STAR One. It was a hit among teenagers and had reruns on the same channel. The series is a remake of the popular Argentine soap Rebelde Way.

Concept

The story is based on the lives of 12th-grade students in an elite school called "Maurya High" for the kids of the rich and the famous, and scholarship students from poorer families.

The four main characters are Tia Ahuja (a fashion entrepreneur's only daughter: Sumit Ahuja), Anvesha Ray Banerjee (a Bollywood filmstar's only daughter: Sonia Ray), Yuvraaj Dev (brat son of India's politician: Yashwant Dev), and Ranveer Sisodia (a Rajasthani royal who comes to Maurya to avenge the death of his father which wasn't really Sumit Ahuja's fault). They form the music group "Remix" and become the singing sensation of the decade.

The story also brings into play other elements that shape the destiny of the four protagonists and many others.

The first Remix album released by Mushroomhead in 1997. All tracks are remixes except for "Everyone's Got One" (hence the subtitle "Only Mix"). The last portion of "Episode 29 (Hardcore Mix)" was used on the XX album as "Episode 29". The original release of the "Multimedia Remix" also included recordings of Mushroomhead performing "Born of Desire" and "Chancre Sore" at Nautica in Cleveland (now known as The Scene Pavilion) as well as a video for "Simpleton".

Antigone (Tiggy) Foster, professionally known as Antigone, is a London-based Australian recording artist and songwriter.

Antigone's debut single More Man Than Man was released in 2008. Her second single Promiscuity was released on 6 April 2009. The song received mainly positive reviews. Blog Popjustice said about Promiscuity: "A surefire hit for anyone whose two favourite genres are pop music that sounds like dance music and dance music that sounds like pop music."

Antigone's first album AntigoneLand was released on 20 April 2009, and is produced by Justin Shave. Shave invented his own soft instrument, the Okkam 01, from Native Instruments' Reaktor for the album, and then manufactured a custom-built correlating MIDI box. Native Instruments were so impressed they now commission him for sound design.

Antigone (/ænˈtɪɡəniː/ an-TIG-ə-nee; Ancient Greek: Ἀντιγόνη) is a tragedy by Sophocles written in or before 441 BC.

It is the third of the three Theban plays but was the first written, chronologically. The play expands on the Theban legend that predated it and picks up where Aeschylus' Seven Against Thebes ends.

Synopsis

In the beginning of the play, two brothers leading opposite sides in Thebes' civil war died fighting each other for the throne. Creon, the new ruler of Thebes, has decided that Eteocles will be honored and Polyneices will be in public shame. The rebel brother's body will not be sanctified by holy rites, and will lie unburied on the battlefield, prey for carrion animals like worms and vultures, the harshest punishment at the time. Antigone and Ismene are the sisters of the dead Polyneices and Eteocles. In the opening of the play, Antigone brings Ismene outside the palace gates late at night for a secret meeting: Antigone wants to bury Polyneices' body, in defiance of Creon's edict. Ismene refuses to help her, fearing the death penalty, but she is unable to stop Antigone from going to bury her brother herself, causing Antigone to disown her out of anger.

Antigone, also known as The Antigone of Sophocles, is an adaptation by the German dramatist Bertolt Brecht of Hölderlin's translation of Sophocles' tragedy. It was first performed at the Chur Stadttheater in Switzerland in 1948, with Brecht's second wife Helene Weigel, in the lead role. This was Brecht's first directorial collaboration with Caspar Neher.

Productions

Ratan Thiyam directed a Manipuri language-adaptation of the play in 1986.

A 1951 production of Antigone at the Griez showed a new prologue written by Brecht in which Antigone, Tiresias, and Creon appear onstage and Tiresias gives an explication of the play. He instructs the audience to analyze the play and observe how humanity rose up against barbarism.

Differences From Original Antigone

The play begins with a modern World War II scene in which two sisters discover that their brother, a soldier, has returned from the front. They feed him but it turns out that he is a deserter and he is lynched from the lamppost. This first scene is intended to draw the parallel between the death of Polynices, that marks the first and dramatically key event in Sophocles' Antigone, with that of the deserting soldier in WWII.
