Solo Acoustic, Vol. 1 is a live album by American singer/songwriter Jackson Browne, released in 2005 (see 2005 in music). It reached number 4 on the Top Independent Albums chart and number 8 on the Top Internet Albums chart.
Solo Acoustic, Vol. 1 was Browne's first live release since 1977's landmark Running on Empty. The performances were recorded at various locations in the United States and Europe during Browne's 2004 solo acoustic tour. The live version of "Lives in the Balance" from the album was released as a promotional single.
"The Birds of St. Marks" was originally written in 1970 and sometimes played in live performances, but was not released on any recordings until this release. "The Rebel Jesus" is a bonus track on Australian and Japanese versions, and on special edition CDs bought in the U.S. at Best Buy.
At 48th Grammy Awards Solo Acoustic, Vol. 1 was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album.
Writing for Allmusic, music critic Thom Jurek wrote: "The music here speaks for itself... his gift as a songwriter is enigmatic, unassailable, and singular."
Solo is an orange-flavoured soft drink, owned by the Norwegian companies Ringnes, Oskar Sylte, Aass, and Mack. The recipe was originally Spanish, and brought to the Tønsberg Bryggeri by Torleif Gulliksrud in 1934. Solo quickly became Norway's most popular soft drink, and until the 1960s was bigger than Coca-Cola in Norway. In 1999, Pepsi passed Solo in market share, leaving Solo as third most popular.
As of 2005, Solo has a seven percent share of the Norwegian soft drink market. Variants of the original Solo include Solo Super (less sugar), Solo Sunset and Solrik (juice).

Solo (also known as Solo: Lost at Sea and Solitary Endeavour on the Southern Ocean) is a 2008 documentary film directed by David Michod and Jennifer Peedom. It narrates the story of Australian adventurer Andrew McAuley who went on a solo kayak crossing from Tasmania to New Zealand.
After a month at sea, his mission ended in tragedy. His body was never recovered but his kayak was, as were video tapes documenting his journey. These tapes, together with footage of McAuley's preparation and interviews with his support crew including wife Vicki, form the basis of this documentary.
On 11 January 2007, Andrew McAuley set out on his quest to become the first person to kayak from Australia to New Zealand to cross 1600 km of one of the most dangerous oceans on Earth - the Southern Ocean stretch of the Tasman Sea. After a month at sea, Andrew had successfully endured all the difficulties and a three-day Category 9 storm. On 9 February, New Zealand maritime authorities received his distress call but they could not save his life.

Gabrielle Aplin (born 10 October 1992) is an English singer-songwriter. Aplin came to public attention after she gained a large online following by posting acoustic covers of songs on her YouTube channel.

She gained mainstream attention the following November when she was selected to record the soundtrack for John Lewis television commercial with a cover of Frankie Goes to Hollywood's "The Power of Love", which charted at number 1 on the UK Singles Chart in December 2012. Her début album English Rain was released in May 2013 to positive reviews. Embrace is the eponymously titled sixth studio album by English alternative rock band Embrace. The album, self-produced by Richard McNamara, was released on 25 April 2014 in Friday-release countries and on 28 April 2014 in the United Kingdom by independent record label Cooking Vinyl. The album is the band's first in eight years, after the release of their fifth studio album This New Day in 2006.
Embrace, created with a goal to outdo their debut studio album, the critically acclaimed The Good Will Out, features a return to the band's original form, dropping the post-britpop influenced and commercially accessible sounds of their previous two albums, Out of Nothing and This New Day. Drawn by influences from post-punk bands from the 1970s and 80s, the album is the band's first experimental album, with electronic instruments and sounds and further influences from hard rock music. With the creative process of the album lasting a total of three years of writing and another three years in production, Embrace was recorded at Richard McNamara's self-built Magnetic North Studios in Halifax, England.
Acoustic is the seventh album by Everything but the Girl, released on 2 June 1992. The Worldwide & The Acoustic EP's were reissued together by Edsel Records as a 2-disc Deluxe Set in 2012.
Some digital downloads of the album – including those sold by Amazon and iTunes – have the fully orchestrated version of "Come on Home" (3:22) from Baby, the Stars Shine Bright rather than the pared back version from Acoustic. The error appears to be the recording company's.

Hmmmm, Mmmm
Sleepless nights, never ending fights
And close your eyes and you kept thinking twice
It’s alright still right here with you
Know I’ll never let you down
So hush hush hush dear
Coz everything is gonna be fine now
Oh ohhh
When you’re down, I’ll cheer you up
When you’re crying, I’ll make it stop
When you want to forget your regrets
I’ll try to fix you.
When you’re cold, I’ll hold you tight
Whisper softly that it’s alright
When you want to forget your regrets
You can count on me to fix you
Fix you, fix you
Count on me to fix you
He let you down
He never did try in the first place

I’ll make sure that you are doing ok
And I’ll make sure you are smiling
