Viva is a 2007 American comedy-drama film directed by Anna Biller. It's a faithful homage to sexploitation films from the 1960s and 1970s, but with a feminist twist. The film has received mixed reactions, and "illustrates cinema’s unique ability to blend high and low culture."Viva premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival in 2007. It was also entered into the main competition at the 29th Moscow International Film Festival.Viva was released on DVD by Cult Epics on Feb. 24, 2009.

Viva was an adult woman's magazine that premiered in 1973 and ceased publication in 1980. Its full title was Viva, The International Magazine For Women, and it was published by Bob Guccione and his wife, Kathy Keeton. Guccione was the editor of Penthouse, an adult men's magazine, and he wanted to publish a companion title for women. Viva was essentially an erotic magazine for women, containing articles and fiction delving into women’s fantasies, and exploring their sexuality, reviews of the arts, interviews with known personalities, fashion and beauty, etc.

Viva magazine usually exhibited photography containing male full frontal nudity and sexual encounters targeted at mature female readers. Among the photographers whose work appeared in Viva was Helmut Newton, who was lured there by Anna Wintour, the magazine's fashion editor. Wintour also worked with Denis Piel before he worked under contract with Vogue.

It was published by Blaze Publishing Ltd, then sold to Interactive Publishing. It was distributed UK-wide at retailers such as W H Smith, Tesco, Superdrug and Somerfield. Criticism

Although Scarlet has been described as having "feminist stripes" it is also said to promote sex as a consumer commodity, to depict little variety in women's body shapes and to promote a pornography-influenced view of women's sexuality similar to that described in journalist Ariel Levy's book Female Chauvinist Pigs.

Kermes is a red dye derived from the dried bodies of the females of a scale insect in the genus Kermes, primarily Kermes vermilio. The insects live on the sap of certain trees, especially Kermes oak tree near the Mediterranean region. The English color names crimson and carmine are derived from the word kermes, and many other languages have a word for "red" that is derived from kermes due to the widespread use of this dye in medieval times and the rich red color that it yields. Scarlet is a creator-owned comic book series written by Brian Michael Bendis under Marvel Comics' Icon imprint. The title is illustrated and co-created by Alex Maleev.

The series is about a young woman named Scarlet Rue from Portland who rebels against a corrupt society and ends up starting a new American revolution in the process. The series often breaks the fourth wall in that the protagonist talks to the reader of the comic.

Bendis and Maleev previously collaborated on Marvel's Daredevil, Spider-Woman and Halo: Uprising. Scarlet is published bi-monthly in part to accommodate the pair's work monthly output of Marvel's Moon Knight.

DS2 (abbreviation of Dirty Sprite 2) is the third studio album by American hip hop recording artist Future. The album was released on July 17, 2015 by A1, Freebandz and Epic Records. The album serves as the sequel from his breakout mixtape Dirty Sprite (2011). The album was supported by four singles "Fuck Up Some Commas", "Real Sisters", "Blow a Bag" and "Where Ya At" featuring Drake.

Upon its release, DS2 received generally positive reviews from critics and was ranked as one of the best albums of 2015 by several publications. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and sold 126,000 copies in its first week. The album has since been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). As of February 2016, the album has sold 344,000 in the United States.

Background

On July 10, 2015, Future posted the artwork and announced his new album, titled DS2, would be released on July 17, 2015. The tracklist of the album was released on July 15, 2015. In an interview with Power 105.1, he explained the official album title was abbreviated to DS2 in order to avoid copyright infringement from Sprite.
