Demolition Man may refer to:

Demolition Man is a 1993 American science fiction action film directed by Marco Brambilla in his directorial debut. The film stars Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes. The film was released in the United States on October 8, 1993.

The film tells the story of two men: an evil crime lord and a risk-taking police officer. Cryogenically frozen in 1996, they are restored to life in the year 2032 to find mainstream society changed and all crime seemingly eliminated.

Some aspects of the film allude to Aldous Huxley's dystopian novel, Brave New World.

Plot

In 1996, psychopathic career criminal Simon Phoenix kidnaps a number of hostages and takes refuge with his gang in an abandoned building. LAPD Sgt. John Spartan uses a thermal scan of the building and finds no trace of the hostages, and leads an unauthorized assault to capture Phoenix. When he is captured, Phoenix sets off a series of explosives that bring down the building, and when the police search the wreckage, they find the corpses of the hostages. Spartan is charged with manslaughter, and he is incarcerated along with Phoenix in the city's new "California Cryo-Penitentiary", where they will be cryogenically frozen. During their time "in deep freeze", they are to be rehabilitated through subconscious conditioning.

Euphoria is the seventh studio album by English hard rock band Def Leppard, released in 1999. The album aimed to return to their signature sound made famous by the band in the 1980s. It was produced by the band with Pete Woodroffe. The album charted at No. 11 on The Billboard 200 and No. 11 on the UK Albums Chart. The album is also known for including the song "Promises", which hit the number one spot on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart. The pop metal tune has been performed on numerous tours since, with 440 plays according to Setlist.fm publicly.

Overview

Following Slang, the band was initially unsure of which direction to take for their next release, upon reconvening in April 1998.

The band would enlist the aid of former producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange for four days in a more limited role. Three songs were co-written with Lange, who lent background vocals (as he had on other albums): "It's Only Love", "All Night" and "Promises".

A song first recorded by Vivian Campbell's side band Clock, "To Be Alive", received a Leppard makeover. For the first time since 1981's High 'n' Dry, an instrumental was included (Phil Collen's "Disintegrate"). This instrumental was known before as "Spanish Sky", a ballad that evolved into this track.

Rizzle Kicks is an English hip hop duo from Brighton, consisting of Jordan "Rizzle" Stephens (born (1992-01-25) 25 January 1992) and Harley "Sylvester" Alexander-Sule (born (1991-11-23) 23 November 1991). Their debut album Stereo Typical was released on 31 October 2011. As of May 2012, Rizzle Kicks have sold over 1 million singles and over 600,000 albums in the UK.

Musical career

2006–11: Formation and career beginnings

In 2006, Jordan began attending rap and performance workshops with the Brighton-based charity AudioActive, joined a year later by Harley. The pair attended AudioActive's Hip Hop Foundation project and Jordan continued attending workshops and performances until 2010. Jordan is quoted as saying this work helped the duo "hone our skills and build a passion towards the career that we're in now. AudioActive did us a lot of good and without them we wouldn't be here!"

Jordan and Harley both attended Brit School where Jordan studied Media and Harley studied Theatre. Jordan was in the process of making his mixtape Minor Breaches of Discipline where he rapped over samples of some of their favourite artists (Gorillaz, Lily Allen, Arctic Monkeys) and asked Harley to sing over some of the tracks. Realising how well their styles fitted together, they formed Rizzle Kicks in 2008. The name stems from 'Green Rizla', an early nickname given to Stephens by a football teammate after a crew of the same name from the school that he attended at the time. That nickname evolved into 'Rizzle' and the duo decided on the suffix 'kicks' due to their shared love of football.
