Valentina is a 2008 Argentinian traditionally animated romantic-comedy film released in theaters throughout Argentina, Mexico, and Uruguay on July 24, 2008. It also had a limited release in the United States later that year. It did very poorly at the foreign and international box-office, resulting a box-office bomb. It stars Florencia Otero, as the voice of Valentina, and Sebastián Francini, as the voice of Fede. It is also Illusion Studios' first feature film.
Valentina and her friends are fun-loving, teenage girls. They shop, they have sleepovers, and they dream about their first true love. But when Valentina and her classmates decide to throw a spring bonfire party, they never expected it would turn into such an adventure!
Valentina Nicholaevna Sanina Schlee (1 May 1899– 14 September 1989), simply known as Valentina, was a Ukrainian émigrée fashion designer and theatrical costume designer active from 1928 to the late 1950s.
Schlee was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine. She was studying drama in Kharkov at the outbreak of the October Revolution in 1917. She met her Russian financier husband, George Schlee (died 3 October 1964), at the Sevastopol railway station as she was fleeing the country with her family jewels; there is some question as to whether they were legally wed.) George Schlee is best known for his twenty-year-friendship with film star Greta Garbo. The Schlees arrived in New York City in 1923 and became prominent members of café society during the Roaring Twenties. Valentina "stood out" for her clothes and style at the time because she appeared in floor-lengths and cover-ups while other women wore short skirts and low-neck dresses."
Schlee opened a small couture dress house, Valentina's Gowns on Madison Avenue in 1928. Her first stage commission was costumes for Judith Anderson in 1933's Come of Age. The costumes were better received than the play, and established her reputation as a designer for the stage. Schlee dressed such actresses of the era as Lynn Fontanne, Katharine Cornell, Greta Garbo, Gloria Swanson, Gertrude Lawrence, and Katharine Hepburn. Her Broadway successes included the costumes for the stage version of The Philadelphia Story. She also dressed prominent New York society women including members of the Whitney and Vanderbilt families. In 1950 Valentina also introduced a perfume, "My Own".
Valentina is a Mexican telenovela produced by José Alberto Castro for Televisa. Which aired in 1993 on Canal de las Estrellas and it stars Verónica Castro and Juan Ferrara.
A dove is a type of bird.
Dove may also refer to:
The steamboat Dove operated in the late 1890s and early 1900s as part of the Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet and also for a time on Grays Harbor. She was later converted into a tug. The Dove (ex-Typhoon) should not be confused with the Virginia III (ex-Typhoon).
Dove was originally built in 1889 in Portland, Oregon for ferry service under J.B. Montgomery, and launched under the name Typhoon.
In 1891, J.B. Montgomery sold Typhoon to George Emerson at Grays Harbor, who in turn sold the vessel a short time later to C.O. Lorenz, who brought her to Puget Sound and placed her on the Tacoma-Henderson Bay route. In 1903, she was acquired by Matthew McDowell, who rebuilt the vessel and placed her on the Seattle-Tacoma-East Pass route under the name Dove.
In about 1916, McDowell sold Dove to Washington Tug & Barge Co. of Seattle, and Dove thereafter served as a tug.
The surname Dove has several origins. In some cases the surname is derived from the Middle English dove ("dove"), which is in turn derived from the Old English dūfe ("dove"), or possibly sometimes the Old Norse dúfa ("dove"). In this way, this surname originated as a nickname for a gentle person, or an occupational name for a person who worked with doves. In some cases, the surname Dove originated from the fact that the Middle English word was also used as a masculine and feminine personal name.
The surname Dove is also sometimes an Anglicised form of the Scottish Gaelic MacCalmáin. The surname Dove is also sometimes a variant spelling of the surname Duff (a surname multiple etymological origins). The surname Dove is also sometimes derived from the Middle Low German dōf, and originated as a nickname for a deaf man.
Sei or SEI may refer to:
(M.Puppi-D.Fontana-P.Matterazzo)
Dove sei con la mente, i tuoi pensieri,
il tuo fuoco è già dentro di me, dove vai
cosa rincorri il cielo che ormai è al suolo sotto di te.
Dove sei, passo giorni a ricordare
perché ti voglio, ti voglio così come sei.
perché ti voglio, ti voglio così come sei.
Ora prendi le mie mani che il mondo salirà più in su
la mia forza le tue ali per volare nel cielo più blu.
