Loving is a 1945 novel by British writer Henry Green. Time magazine included the novel in its TIME 100 Best English-language Novels from 1923 to 2005. One of his most admired works, Loving describes life above and below stairs in an Irish country house during the Second World War. In the absence of their employers the Tennants, the servants enact their own battles and conflict amid rumours about the war in Europe; invading one another's provinces of authority to create an anarchic environment of self-seeking behaviour, pilfering, gossip and love.
In a 1958 interview in The Paris Review, Terry Southern asked Green about his inspiration for Loving. Green replied, "I got the idea of Loving from a manservant in the Fire Service during the war. He was serving with me in the ranks, and he told me he had once asked the elderly butler who was over him what the old boy most liked in the world. The reply was: 'Lying in bed on a summer morning, with the window open, listening to the church bells, eating buttered toast with cunty fingers.' I saw the book in a flash."
Loving is a 1970 American comedy film released by Columbia Pictures and directed by Irvin Kershner. It is based on the novel Brooks Wilson Ltd. written by pulp magazine illustrator John McDermott under his pen name, J. M. Ryan. The movie starred George Segal in the title role of a philandering NYC illustrator and Eva Marie Saint as his wife. The cast also included Sterling Hayden, David Doyle, Keenan Wynn, Roy Scheider and future 20th Century Fox president Sherry Lansing, among others.
Brooks Wilson (George Segal) is a busy man, juggling his work as a commercial artist with a marriage to Selma (Eva Marie Saint) and two young daughters. He also has a girlfriend on the side named Grace (Janis Young) who wants him to commit to her, but he cannot do it.
Brooks is trying desperately to land an elusive account from Lepridon (Sterling Hayden), but this is seeming harder to achieve than he thought. One evening they attend a party at a grand Connecticut home. Feeling his life is falling apart, Brooks seduces flirty Nelly (Nancie Phillips), wife of his associate Will (David Doyle). They go to a children's playhouse outside the main house, and their indiscretions are caught on closed-circuit television. Selma and Will are devastated. Brooks and Will fall into a fist-fight. After the commotion dies down, the harried Brooks tells Selma that he finally landed the Lepridon account. She smacks him with her handbag, and they stare at each other in silence, seeing their marriage honestly for the first time.

June (i/dʒuːn/ joon) is the sixth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars and one of the four months with a length of 30 days. June is the month with the longest daylight hours of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and the shortest daylight hours of the year in the Southern Hemisphere. June in the Northern Hemisphere is the seasonal equivalent to December in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa. In the Northern hemisphere, the beginning of the astronomical summer is 21 June (meteorological summer begins on 1 June). In the Southern hemisphere, the beginning of the astronomical winter is 21 June (meteorological winter begins on 1 June).
At the start of June, the sun rises in the constellation of Taurus; at the end of June, the sun rises in the constellation of Gemini. However, due to the precession of the equinoxes, June begins with the sun in the astrological sign of Gemini, and ends with the sun in the astrological sign of Cancer.
Juno was an American indie rock band formed in Seattle in 1995. They released two studio albums, disbanding in 2003.
Juno released their debut album This Is the Way It Goes and Goes and Goes as a co-release on DeSoto Records and Pacifico Records on March 30, 1999. Their second album A Future Lived in Past Tense was released May 8, 2001 on Desoto Records. The band was critically acclaimed by various local and national music journals and has toured throughout the US, Europe and Japan. The band also released a split EP with The Dismemberment Plan on Desoto Records which included a cover of DJ Shadow's "High Noon".
The band is now officially defunct. Travis Saunders the bassist left the band in 2000. They had played with and auditioned a few different bassists (including Nate Mendel of Foo Fighters, Sunny Day Real Estate and Nick Harmer of Death Cab for Cutie), but ultimately decided that they were going in different directions artistically.
Currently some of the former members are working on Ghost Wars, a recording project led by Carstens and Eric Fisher.
Cold is the debut album by American alternative metal band Cold. The album produced two singles: "Go Away" and "Give."
All tracks written by Scooter Ward.
Allmusic gave the album four out of five stars stating "Cold's songwriting isn't always great and they're too concerned with adolescent angst and horror ("Everyone Dies," "Insane," "Serial Killer," etc.), but the band's sound is fully formed, resulting in a strong debut."
Although the album didn't have excellent sales and lacked heavy promotion, it was ranked the 9th best album of 1998 by Kerrang!
