Seventh Heaven or 7th Heaven may refer to:
A game seven is the final game of a best of seven series. This game can occur in the postseasons for Major League Baseball (League Championship Series and World Series), the National Basketball Association (all rounds of the NBA playoffs), and the National Hockey League (all rounds of the Stanley Cup playoffs).
The game is generally played at the site of the team holding the home advantage across the series.
The nature of a best-of-seven series requires that the series be tied at 3 games apiece going into Game Seven, such that either team can take the series (advancing further in the playoffs or winning the championship) by winning the game. Because of this decisive nature, game sevens add an element of drama to their sports.
Aside from North American sports leagues, game sevens are also a fixture in many other sports around the world, mostly in baseball, basketball, and ice hockey leagues. Most codes of football do not employ a best-of-seven series (or any best-of-x series in general), hence game sevens are not played in those leagues.
"7th Heaven" is a 1985 song by American pop singer-actress Vanity, the track was released as a promotional single to support the 1985 film soundtrack, The Last Dragon and movie which also stars Vanity, Taimak, and Julius J. Carry III.
The song was co-written and produced by Bill Wolfer. It was also released, following the soundtrack's first single "Rhythm of the Night" by DeBarge, a top five pop hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on Billboard's R&B Singles.
To help promote the soundtrack album release, Vanity appeared on various talk shows including The Merv Griffin Show, in which she discussed the movie and also performed the song. For her Merv Griffin appearance, Vanity wore the infamous "7th Heaven" blue and silver dress she had worn in the film.
The music video theme shows Vanity as her film character Laura Charles, who is a singer and video DJ at the popular Seven Heaven club. She makes her grand entrance performing "7th Heaven", as an elevator lowers her below to the dance floor in the night club. A large video screen is shown behind her, as it shows her performing the song in the night club.
there's a place filled with joy
Out into the fire of distance
Where the wonders of the heart are found
Beyond the sun, beyond the moon
I'm beyond the solar systems
On a journey to the first light of now
(Pre-Chorus)
Far through the light
You will find there is time
To shine forever
Fly through the sky
Where the eye of the sea is
This part of me
(Chorus)
Far through the light
Is a part of you tonight
Up in the sky
There's a part of me
(Bridge)
To be ever cross to you
Light puts me close to you
(Verse)
There's a world full of life
It could be reached by sailing
With the wind of time the nice things fall
There's a place in my heart
Spinning from a distant travel
We are moving, we are walking in time
(Pre-Chorus)
Far through the light
You will find there is time
To shine forever
(Chorus x2)
Far through the light
Is a part of you tonight
Up in the sky
There's a part of me
There's a part of me
