Padraig Harrington – Has the game to win a medal and is in good form at the moment

Arthur Lanigan-O’Keeffe (Modern Pentathlon) 2015 European individual champion will need to good swim to get a medal.
Judy Reynolds (Dressage) Been breaking Irish records and will be hopeful of a good event and secure a medal.
Brendan Irvine (Boxing) The Wee Rooster won silver at the European games and if he gets a good draw to could win a medal.
Stephanie Meadow (Golf) Former University of Alabama student has the game to win a medal in Rio.
Dan Martin (Cycling) FINSISHED TOP 20
Possible Medal chances:
Sinead Jennings (Rowing) The doctor with three kids can achieve anything so why not a medal in Rio.
Thomas Barr (400m Hurdles) 3rd in a Diamond League event last season, he will be hoping for a final.
Ceire Smith (Boxing) Might need another four years, but she has lots of ability.
Fiona Doyle (Swimming) FAILED TO MAKE SEMI-FINALS
Natalya Coyle (Modern Pentathlon) 18th in World Final last month, but will expect at least a top five place in Rio.
Kieran Behan (Gymnastics) FAILED TO MAKE FINAL
Ellis O’Reilly (Gymnastics) FAILED TO MAKE FINAL
Rob Heffernan (Road Walker) Legend of the sport, would need to be back his best to secure a medal.
Sanita Puspure (Rowing) FAILED TO MAKE SEMI-FINAL
Ciara Mageean (1500m) Breaking Irish records and in great form, she will be hoping to break 4min and win a medal.
Oliver Dingley (Diving) Finished 8th this month and improving all the time, will hope to reach the final.

Aileen Reid (tri Athlon) The Derry athlete has been a top finisher for years and at her best can secure a medal.
