NVIDIA Cuts GeForce RTX 4060 Supply By Up To 60% As The GPU Gets Close To EOL

Sarfraz Khan Comments

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 is soon going to disappear from the market and has already been cut into supply as per the latest reports.

NVIDIA is Reportedly Ending the GeForce RTX 4060 Supply and the Last Shipment is Said to be in February

The closer we are getting to the launch of RTX 5060 GPUs, the more we are hearing reports of a reduced supply of the RTX 4060. We have already reported previously that NVIDIA is going to end the supply of GeForce RTX 4060 GPUs in the first quarter of 2025, but it's not yet official. However, hearing from multiple reliable sources does somewhat confirm this report to be true.

As per a leaker on the IT Home forums, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 is going to be reduced in supply 'drastically', and its supply will be almost 60% lower compared to the last quarter of 2024. If you remember, we reported that NVIDIA discontinued the GeForce RTX 4070 in January and there won't be another restock of RTX 4070 moving forwards. This was the same leaker who reported that the RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti would also reach the end of their lives in the first quarter.

One can confirm that the RTX 4070 has indeed disappeared from the market, and you can only find that card for a massive price increase at the moment. It appears that the RTX 4070 Super is seeing the same fate as it is hard to find the Super edition at MSRP in most regions. Nonetheless, the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti are still available in stock in most stores for their MSRPs, but not for long, as the shipment has been reportedly reduced by 60% compared to Q4 2024.

That means the GPUs will be short in supply from now on, and it's possible to see a surge in their prices. The RTX 4060 is the only budget GPU in the Ada family, priced at $300. The RTX 4060 Ti has two editions: 8 GB and 16 GB, retailing for $400 and $500 respectively. Since NVIDIA discontinued the RTX 4070, which is most likely due to the RTX 5070 launch, the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 launch will also mark the end of the RTX 4060 Ti and 4060 GPUs.

It's rumored that the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 will be priced a bit higher than their predecessors. Both GPUs are expected to retain the same 8-pin power connector but will bring an increase in power consumption. Expect these GPUs to launch in March and that said, the RTX 4060 Ti and 4060 should be pretty limited in inventory at that time.
