Okay. I looked at the Japanese release and there's some sort of white face in the front cover. Anyone know if that was printed on a slipcover, or on the actual CD case? My CD does not have that thing (the CD case is normal), but the artwork is more or less the same otherwise. I haven't been able to verify if all releases were like that or not, but it looks like the US release of Opus 1 did not have the Japanese release's face either.

Another thing, the CD has its own separate UPC code from the DVD boxset thing. Looks like Geneon was actually going to release this on its own but they didn't since they struck a deal with the devil - er, Best Buy. I have no idea if this was ever released separately. I couldn't find much info about it. The archived website says it was only released this way.

Two corrections:
1) This CD is also sold separately from the DVD.
2) CD+DVD bundle is not exclusive for Best Buy.

It -was- exclusive at launch. :P

Of course that was six years ago. I imagine a lot of stock went unsold and then resold to liquidators like RightStuf - I've seen and bought lots of anime from US Dollar stores (you know, stores that sell most everything for one buck or less.)
So do I add the CD release as a child?
