Distance learning model with local workshop sessions applied to in-service teacher training

Published: 27 June 1999 Publication History

Abstract

This paper presents the development, implementation and evaluation of a novel distance learning model integrated with local workshop sessions. The model was developed for a large-scale in-service teacher training, and applied to introduce a new computer science curriculum and its didactic approach. The model evaluation showed a significant success, both in terms of participants' attitudes, and the assimilation of the subject matter and its didactic approach.
