Lauren Jansen | DIY on Instagram: "SAME DOOR, NEW LOOK! All someone had to say was, “what a shame your door isn’t glass so you can see the laundry room…” and that’s all it took. I took the door off its hinges and out to the garage where I mapped out a 4.5” boarder around the sides. I jigsawed out the center and added 1” square dowels around the hollow edges for support! Then I used this little 1/2” cove corner moulding to outline the center. I glued and nailed one side into place, wood filled, sanded, and painted (tricorn black by SW in matte). Then I grabbed a .25” thick sheet of acrylic from Home Depot - looks just like glass but won’t break as easily! I scored and snapped it to fit into the frame. Then I added the same cove trim on the other side to secure it into place. I added 3/

I bought a cheap flush white door and the secret is where you hang it in the door revel. Traditionally a door is set in the door lining but here we hung it so it closes flush with the wall.
