Gelli Arts® Gel Printing on Instagram: "Whether you call it cornflour, cornstarch, or maizena—it’s time to try it in your gel printing! Artist Tip 💡 from Gelli Arts® Artist @birgitkoopsen ♥️ Did you know you can create gorgeous weathered textures on your gel plate with a sprinkle of cornflour? Regular flour works too, but since it’s a bit thicker, you have to be more careful with the amount used. 👩🏻‍🎨Details: -For the first print you need an already printed sheet from your stash or print one for the purpose. -Roll out some colors of acrylic paint that make a nice contrast with your already printed sheet. -Sprinkle the cornflour on top. The cornflour will work as a mask when printing. But be careful, even the thinnest layer of cornflour will block the paint so don’t be too generous.
