Battle of Sluys, 24 June 1340, was the most amazing naval battle of the Hundred Years War. Edward III's quick reactions and the crippling blows from the English longbow completely destroyed the French fleet. With 20,000 French casualties, this battle could easily be considered Cannae on water.
Hungarian Recurve Bow C, sometimes referred to as a reflex bow (because unlike standard recurves, the limbs curve twice) or a composite bow (because of the multiple materials used). These bows have the same power as an English longbow in a much shorter package, allowing the bow to be used from horseback. Hungarian bows are notable for the "ears" which the string loops around.

The Battle of Crécy took place on 26 August 1346 near Crécy in northern France, and was one of the most important battles of the Hundred Years' War. 10,000 English Longbowmen devastated 25,000 French knights in a battle which demonstrated the power of the 14th century superweapon - the longbow. The age of chivalry was over.
