FROM THE TOS PRESIDENT
CALL FOR INPUT: 2025–2030 TOS STRATEGIC PLAN
The TOS Council has completed a full draft of the 2025–2030 Strategic Plan. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent in comments on the brief outline I shared back in September. I once again ask for your input now on the completed draft plan. Nothing is set in stone. This is your society and we need to hear from you. Any and all comments, suggestions, complaints are welcome. If you like the plan and don’t have specific suggestions, a simple thumbs up would be a useful data point.
For a society like TOS, with a Council made up of very busy volunteers and members spread around the world, inclusive governance can be a challenge. An actionable strategic plan, which has been crafted with input from and vetted by the membership, is a valuable tool to keep the Council focused on work that is meaningful. The inclusion of metrics of success will allow us to evaluate whether our goals are being met, and if not, to make needed adjustments. All of which can be reported back to the membership periodically.
Please send your comments to [email protected] by November 19. I will collate your suggestions and bring them to the Council for discussion. My hope is to deliver a fully vetted plan to president-elect Paula Bontempi by January 1 when she takes the reins.
TOS COUNCIL ELECTIONS
All TOS members were sent an email on November 4, 2024, with instructions on voting for new Council members. Biographical sketches are available on the election web page. All votes must be cast by December 4, 2024. If you haven’t received a voting link, please contact Jenny Ramarui. > LEARN MORE
