Program Information
In a shared vision to rid the community of hatred and bias, the Jewish Community Alliance (JCA) and First Coast YMCA are proud to announce the second year of the “Together Against Hate: Promoting Unity in Our Community” evening speaker series. The initiative, designed to educate and inspire a more inclusive community, begins with a renewed effort to ignite unity throughout Northeast Florida.
In this installment of the series, we will explore topics surrounding identifying, reporting, and preventing hate crimes. The evening will feature a guest presentation and conversation with members of the Florida State Attorney’s Office.
This event, and the Lives Eliminated, Dreams Illuminated (LEDI) exhibition are part of the 2024-2025 MOSH Passport Series. The MOSH Passport Series seeks to highlight the diverse communities throughout Northeast Florida through educational, culturally representative events that inspire participants to work together toward a common objective of making Jacksonville a safer and better place for everyone to live and work.

About LEDI
The LEDI exhibition is created and sponsored by the Dr. David M. Milch Foundation. LEDI features the stories of women and girls who were victims of the Holocaust. With archival photographs as reference, artist Lauren Bergman has reimagined their lives through portraits that restore the dignity, peace, and vitality that were taken from them. Composer Ella Milch-Sheriff has provided original music scores to accompany each woman’s narrative. Together, the LEDI exhibition provides these women’s stories as a framework to discuss broader issues and to inspire diverse communities to work together against hate of any kind.
The 2024-2025 MOSH Passport Series is sponsored in part by the generous support of The Together Strong Community Fund.
