Well, around me it's hip-hop and Christmas music. For the former, I have to remind myself I'm not the target audience. For the latter, it's just too soon.

I don't like country music, but I do like when you play it backwards as you get your house back, your dog back, your partner back.
As for Christmas music, I think it's the repetition of the same songs over, and over, and over, and over again, especially the slow sad ones, when it starts to get grating.

I don't think we can actually ban mods for this though right? We could end up with half the staff banned....

Yes. Many have banned themselves… on accident.

I am not one of them, for the record (but I had a laugh when I learned about that).

Well if my parents’ local “station that switched to Christmas music too goddamn early” is any indication, recent abysmal covers may spare a few of us from the full WHAM once the season begins.

The best course of action is to stockpile food and essentials prior to November, so as to avoid all brick and mortar retail and their seasonal playlist, streaming service, or local radio station. What you should do on November 1st or 2nd is to go trick-or-treating, and you tell people you were too sick on Halloween to go out, and they'll feel sorry for you and empty their remaining candy into your wheelbarrow. But at the time of this post, you're probably too late to get much candy. If you didn't stock your pantries ahead of time, use Google Earth to see if your neighbors have vegetable gardens.... or just hop the fence in the middle of the night. Who knows, maybe you'll find a squirrel feeder full of peanuts. If you don't have an electric vehicle, then at some point you'll need to siphon your neighbors' gas, since those new fancy gas station pump kiosks might use the song in an advertisement. Gift shopping should have been done in the summer, and if it wasn't, then you give a list of things to a neighbor for them to pick up while you hunker down until at least February before celebrating Christmas. It's the only way to be sure.*leftover candy, backyard food, gas, and errands..... it's what neighbors are for.

I've had to go to grocery stores four times for Thanksgiving. Thank the Maker for earphones and downloaded music.

Good thing the game hasn’t started yet…got Whammed earlier today. My wife loves Christmas music so as always I don’t expect to last long after the 1st.

I think last time I was the first person out. Are we actually doing bans? Not that I really care I can go a week without posting here. I have done more. I think it does add stakes.
