Trump leaves question on possible suspension of military aid to Ukraine unanswered

"It doesn't matter what I'm considering," he told reporters

WASHINGTON, March 1. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump did not answer the question about possible suspension of military supplies to Ukraine.

"It doesn't matter what I'm considering," he told reporters when asked whether he was considering the possibility to suspend military support of Kiev.

Meanwhile Trump stressed that the US intended to stop the conflict immediately. "Either we're going to end it or let him [Vladimir Zelensky] fight it out. And if he fights it out, it's not going to be pretty, because without it, without us, he doesn't win," he stressed.

The Washington Post reported earlier citing sources that Trump’s administration was considering ending all ongoing shipments of military aid to Ukraine in response to remarks by Zelensky at a meeting with Trump in the White House and his perceived intransigence in the peace process. The decision, if made, would apply to billions of dollars of radars, vehicles, ammunition and missiles awaiting shipment to Ukraine through the presidential drawdown authority.

Earlier on Friday, Zelensky met with Trump at the White House. Their televised exchange suddenly unraveled into a shouting match, with Trump scolding Zelensky for being disrespectful to the US, and Vice President JD Vance saying that Zelensky had never thanked the country for all the support provided to Kiev. A news conference scheduled to follow the meeting was canceled, and the Ukrainian delegation left the White House earlier than planned. Bilateral talks and the scheduled signing of the deal on Ukrainian mineral resources were thwarted.
