SAP PS Training Material 1 SAP PS MASTER DATA 1.1 Build Project Structure To build lower WBS levels on a project once it has been activated by the Purpose: AR. Projects can be structured by asset, phase or responsibility. This is at the discretion of the project manager. Menu path: Accounting  Project System  Project  CJ20N – Project Builder Transaction CJ20N code: Screen name: Project Builder Comment/ Step Button/ Value/Action Mandatory Expected Nr Field Result 1 Proj def Double click on button in the Work list section. Note: This action will open the relevant project definition and add it to the work list section for quick editing in future. Projects can be structured according to phase, asset or responsibility. In all cases projects are hierarchical in nature. SAP uses the following project numbering logic: Page 4
SAP PS Training Material 1.2 Activate Account Assignment Elements To determine which WBS elements will receive actual costs and which WBS elements will be classified for WIP (AUC). For each account Purpose: assigned WBS an AUC is automatically created when the project is released. Certain fields are activated for Account assigned WBS elements. Menu path: Accounting  Project System  Project  CJ20N – Project Builder Transaction CJ20N code: Screen name: Project Builder Comment/ Step Button/ Value/Action Mandatory Expected Nr Field Result 1 Proj def Double click on button in the Work list section. SAP PS Training Material 1.3 Release WBS for spending This transaction is used to update the system and user status. A Purpose: project must be released (REL) to be able to post actual costs against it. The user status ‘NCA’ must also be changed to ‘ACA’ Accounting  Project System  Project  CJ20N – Project Menu path: Builder Transaction code: CJ20N Screen name: Project Builder Step Button/ Comment/ Value/Action Mandatory Nr Field Expected Result Double click on the relevant project in the work lists section or if your project is not here, then double click on the project definition and search for it.
