Books, books, books.
Here are all the books that came out (or that I discovered) in October and November and December; things I want to read and add to my library...
Now for the books I read and enjoyed during the last few months...
The Nest by Kenneth Oppel, illustrated by Jon Klassen.
Jill & Dragon by Lesley Barnes - I couldn't wait for this to come out in the US, so I ordered it from the UK... but you should just preorder it now.
Flyaway by Lesley Barnes - Same deal as the last book: preorder it!
Beautiful Darkness by Fabien Vehlmann and Kerascoet - Just to be clear, this is not a children's book... it's probably one of the most disturbing books I own (in a great way).
Tales from Moominvalley by Tove Jansson - one of the only Moomin books I hadn't read yet ("The Fillyjonk Who Believed in Disasters" is one of the best depictions of anxiety that I've ever read).
Frida Kahlo by Isabel Sanchez Vegara, illustrated by Gee Fan Eng.
Coco Chanel by Isabel Sanchez Vegara, illustrated by Ana Albero.
Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl, illustrated by Quentin Blake - Yes, it's very strange that I hadn't read this before. When I was at my parents' house for Christmas, I sat around reading a lot of children's chapter books. This was the first one in my to-read stack.
The 50 States by Gabrielle Balkan, illustrated by Sol Linero - I wish I could buy print versions of the illustrations in this book.
