The tightly wound spiral arms of this magnificent galaxy are very similar to galaxies such as NGC 488, NGC 2841, and perhaps M88. Astronomers note that this galaxy is settling down in the rate of star formation. Soon (in galactic time) this galaxy may form a barred nucleus in its center with a ring of material surrounding it. It is estimated that this galaxy is 97 million light years away.
