When doctors Weatherill and Ormerod visit Michael and Jean's home out in the country, Dr Ormerod brings in the record player which was in the basement of the Royal along with an amplifier and two speakers. He gives the record player as a gift and Jean asks him to take it upstairs to Michael's room. Missing, however, are the speakers and amplifier.

Quite a busy episode

Sit tight for an episode that crams as much as possible into the hour. Drs Ormerod and Weatherill work together, Frankie ends up in a fight with a motorcycle thief, and Ken is as usual trying to earn some extra cash.

The Royal is an old school practice hospital, in part privately funded and in part funded by the NHS. The way the reception acts as the A&E control centre and also the reception for the GP practice is really quite clever.

The episode contains a good theme of a mother protecting her handicapped son, and an action that results in police attention, plus some light relief when a fully made up clown from the pier show turns up with an injured arm.

There is enough here to keep anyone entertained. Well worth a watch.
