Great Dixter House and Gardens Winter Opening Weekends

The House and Gardens will be open on 15/16 and 22/23 February 2025, 11am until 4pm.

Great Dixter Nursery-open all year!

Our opening hours from 1 November 2024 until 1 April 2025 are as follows:

Mon – Fri : 9am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 4.30pm

Sat : 9am – 12.30pm. Closed on Sunday

The Nursery will be closed for Chen in the New Year on Thursday 2 January 2025

What’s on at Great Dixter

Great Dixter is a garden you can immerse yourself in, vibrant, daring, and exciting. Originally home to the great gardener and garden writer Christopher Lloyd, the garden was the focus of his energy and enthusiasm and fuelled over 40 years of books and articles.

Learning at Great Dixter

Great Dixter offers learning opportunities for a wide range of people including study days, symposia, courses and online lectures for adults, scholarships, training and work experience, visits for schools, and regular sessions for families.

Christopher Lloyd formed the Great Dixter Charitable Trust in 2004. Today, Great Dixter inspires visitors with its exuberant and dynamic style of gardening whilst providing first class horticultural training for scholars and students.

Shop at Great Dixter

The Great Dixter Shop is located next to the Nursery and stock a large range of garden tools, books, and gifts. As well as our bricks and mortar shop, we have an online offering.
