Fun, Frozen, Healthy Pops!

Fun, Frozen, Healthy Pops!
After making a batch of fruit smoothies, I placed each popsicle mold in a tall glass, which made it easy to fill. The spout on the blender was the perfect size for the opening of the mold, so nothing spilled. I left about an inch of space at the top of each mold as directed in the instructions, and after putting the tops on I laid them on their sides in the freezer. Nothing leaked out. We enjoyed the frozen treats, but there was a little crystallization in the pop. That may be a flaw in the way I prepared the smoothie as opposed to the popsicle mold though. I like knowing what is going into the foods we eat, so I will definitely be working with my recipe to see if I can avoid the frozen crystal effect.

I received these just a few days ago and already I am amazed at how awesome these freezy pop popcsicles are. I just read a bunch of the negative reviews and am left shaking my head: too expensive? silicone flavor? useless? I have no idea what product these people are talking about. First $10.99 is totally worth it for the use my toddler is blowing through these in just a few days. Ease of use- you can either let them thaw just a tiny bit by running under warm water OR take your hands and wrap them around in opposite directions then twist the silicone around the pop. The frozen part just falls away from the silicone with ease. Then bend the bottom to push the freezy pop up. It works like a dream. I don't understand how people were having a hard time with this. Cleaning? A breeze- rinse under hot soapy water. If you feel compelled, buy a small bottle brush. Mine cleaned away no problem. Silicone flavor- I have no idea what this is. Mine came without an odor or taste.
The tops pop on nicely after you fill just make sure you leave a little gap at the top to allow for expansion. I stuck my six in a tall tupperware container and they held up straight perfectly. The stand would be nice but if you are saving money then the tupperware or similar container works perfectly. I could even see putting them in an opened ziplock and standing up between frozen products in the freezer. I have a french door fridge/freezer and that works fine. I love these so much I will be ordering another set for sure. My toddler is 2 and it took just a few explanations on how to pinch the silicone bottom to push up the pop so you can eat it but she got the hang of it and it wasn't nearly as messy as my standard large popsicle stick type molds. Those tended to break off the stick and fall onto the ground a lot. These were much easier for her to master.
If these fail to please throughout use I will make sure I come back to alter my review but for now these are definitely a five star product. By the way I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bright colors.

Ok. I've bought those ice pop things in the past that's just a mold and plastic Popsicle sticks. I'm an adult and those are even too messy for me.

But these ones are a much bette design. They are like a washable otter pop. I didn't buy the stand but I haven't had any leaking issue. I put watered down bananas in them for my teething 7 Month old, it's cold to help numb his gums when he's having gum/tooth pain. These are great because it's the only time that I feed him and don't make a huge mess. They are on the big size for him but I know he will be able to finish one when he's a bit bigger so I only partially fill right now which works fine.
Basically I love this product, order it, they work great. Oh and if nothing else you can have a cool and even healthy treat to help cool you down on a hot day :)

With my first use, I made 2 strawberry banana yogurt pops and 2 peach yogurt pops for me and my boys. Super easy. Just fill the tube with yogurt (CAREFULLY) and put a cap on each tube. Then put the tubes in a cup to hold them upright. After that, I made 2 coffee flavored pops. I just poured cold coffee (a frappucino, because my husband loves sugary sweet coffees) into the tubes, put caps on, and put them with the yogurt pops. Then, my cup of pre-pops went into the freezer. I didn't have the patience to wait until they were fully frozen, so I grabbed one at about 2 hours. It was MOSTLY frozen. Still delicious. Ideally, you should probably let yours sit overnight.

To help your FULLY frozen pops out of their silicone sleeves, all you have to do is run it under hot water for a few seconds. So easy. And even with gooey yogurt, I managed to get almost all of my popsicle out.

Cleanup is also fully easy. Man do I love these Sunsella pops. Hot, soapy water was how I got mine done. Also a bottle brush for getting way deep down into the sleeve. I suppose you might be able to put them in the dishwasher, but prepare for flying sleeves and lids. In my opinion, handwashing is just way easier.
I've used them for juices and for making frozen chocolate milk as a desert for after we eat, on hot days or just on days of hard playing. He loves the chocolate milk once its frozen in these ice pop molds. Please consider buying these. The ice pop molds are so easy to clean and they do not seem to take as long to freeze things in them compared to the regular overpriced items that you buy in the store.
I really like the versatile of the ice pop molds and the fact that you can make your own ice pops and you have a better idea of what is in them then. You can put yogurt and fruit in them and it will work perfect as a pop for hot days and be a lot healthier than most of the store-bought pops.

These silicone popsicle molds are amazing! They are much larger than what I thought they would be, but they are perfect. The directions say to leave an inch empty at the top to make room for expansion while it freezes. I love the way that they feel and all the fun, bright colors. They are just perfect for my toddler who is always asking for popsicles. The best part is that when you like their Facebook page, they share a free e-book with lots of fun recipes to make. I will be able to do even more with these than I realized. I can't wait to make fun treats for my family! These are also dishwasher safe which means that can be used over and over again. The removable lids can also be put into one of those Munchkin dishwasher containers so they don't move around.

The packaging they came in was also really nice. I felt the need to mention this because it's a GREAT gift item and the holidays are coming up. We'll definitely be ordering some more and checking out other neat products by this company. :)

Very happy with this purchase! Initially I ordered a set of silicone moulds from another supplier, however when they arrived and I gave them the twist test, the area under pressure turned white, indicating the product isn't 100% silicone. I returned this product and ordered this set by Sunsella, as it specifically said in the description that it was guaranteed to pass the twist test - and it did! A little more pricey than the other one, but definitely worth it if you're looking for a plastic-free option!
