Tuesday 1 March 2016: All 43 of Oklahoma's delegates to the Republican National Convention are allocated to presidential contenders in today's Oklahoma Presidential Primary. [Rule 18(h)]
Statewide In addition, 3 party leaders, the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the Oklahoma's Republican Party, will attend the convention as pledged delegates by virtue of their position. Delegates are bound until released. "Each delegate ... to the national convention ... shall cast their vote on all ballots for the candidate ... If that candidate is ... no longer a candidate, the votes ... shall be cast for any candidate of their choice." [Oklahoma Statutes §26-20-104 G.] |

No later than Saturday 16 April 2016 (presumably): District Conventions Convention. The District Convention meet to elect National Convention district delegates according to the results of the primary. CD 1: 16 April. |
Friday 13 May - Saturday 14 May 2016 (presumably): State Convention. The State Convention meets to elect 25 at-large National Convention delegates. 15 January 2015: State Senator Brian Crain (Republican) introduces SB 233. This bill would would move the Presidential Preference Primary from the 1st to the 4th Tuesday in March. |
