Participation in the caucus is limited to persons who are official CNMI Republican party members. Tuesday 15 March 2016 (presumably): Northern Marianas Commonwealth Convention. Hours 6:30p-8:00p ChST (0830-1000 UTC). Delegate Selection: Winner-Take-All Caucus/Convention. Voter Eligibility: Closed Caucus/Convention.
Tuesday 15 March 2016 (presumably): All 9 of Northern Marianas' delegates to the Republican National Convention are chosen in today's Commonwealth Republican Caucus.
Delegates are bound for the first ballot at the Republican National Convention. Should the candidate withdraw his or her candidacy prior to the Republican National Convention, all delegates will convene and determine as a group which candidate to support as a group on the first ballot. On all ballots after, delegates will be free to vote as individuals. |
