I've got a few more Spartan bits finished last night.

First up is a command stand with a Spartan mercenery general/polmarch…

Next is a Spartan generals and sacrifice that will represent an oracle…

And finally, the first couple of bases for my Spartan Armoured Hoplite Phalanx…

I've got a box of victrix spartans, this may just have given the push to start on them, or least paint up a test piece. If they come out half as good as yours I will be a happy man!

Very nice! But why are they shaving that poor goat? ;-) Simon

Those are well done. Simon I Know! That goat doesn't look terrified enough to be a sacrifice.

My young son, who is only 4, said to me, "That soldiers horsey is too small. It just looks silly".
I think "No son, that's a goat getting it's throat cut" could be the wrong answer to that one for a 4 year old, but now he's got me wondering if I could build a unit of Spartan Goat Cavalry.
