As long as you understand this you will make a good decision whether you need this probe type or the flexible type. The rod allows you to precisely rotate the camera. If you attach one of the supplied mirrors you may look at the side of the bore. This kit also includes a cable to attach it to your PC. The video quality is good and comes with everything including a video screen. Picked up this thermal camera to help fix insulation issues before the winter really gets here, and this is perfect for the job. Right out of the box it can pick up and display temperature readings on several objects on the same screen. The different visual modes are great and you can use the thermal imaging mode and laser to hone in on standout objects and figure out differences in items or areas. The displays are simple to understand, and the colors help a lot to narrow your focus. The other thing it does really well is take pictures for review. Pull the trigger and it fires off, and you can download everything direct to your computer by plugging the camera into it. A really nice tool for helping keep the bills down this winter!
