Downtown Demolition Resumes

Click here for the latest update It was both a sad and hopeful day in Derby as the city resumed the long awaited demolition of the decayed and crumbling buildings on the south side of Main Street as a prelude to the redevelopment of the center of the city. Though it may have been sad to see the beginning of the end for historic old buildings such as Nathan's Hall (Gould's Armory), the demolition is an essential part for the planned redevelopment of the area. The demolition work should take between four and eight weeks. In the mean time, work is still progressing on the planning for the new south side project. Click here to read more about the plans.
