Jabrane Amaghouss () and Aomar Ibourk

Economia Internazionale / International Economics, 2019, vol. 72, issue 3, 321-350

Abstract: This paper aims to test the empirical relationship between education, approximated by the level of higher education, and economic growth. To do this, we estimated a growth function on panel data from 69 countries observed between 2000 and 2010. The results show that theoretical consensus is validated by empirical evidence about the positive impact of higher education on Economic Growth. It shows that investment in higher education must become an essential factor in the development strategies adopted by the countries.
