Welcome to the 19th Annual Conference on Information Technology Education (SIGITE). The theme of this year's conference is "Innovate, Educate, and Create". This year the presentations normally found in the Research in Information Technology (RIIT) conference have been absorbed into the SIGITE conference program. New to this year's conference is the Ph.D. presentation, which should give Ph.D. candidates a new research venue to present their Ph.D. work. It should also serve as a networking opportunity for prospective teaching opportunities. It is hoped that future SIGITE conferences will expand this section of the program.

SIGITE 2018 starts Wednesday with the Executive Committee Meeting and a 4-hour sightseeing BBQ Dinner Cruse down the "Venice of America", Fort Lauderdale's New River. The main conference starts out earlier on Thursday and closes on Friday evening. There are no Saturday presentation this year, instead we have the IT Chairs Meeting, Sponsor Workshops, and the conference post-mortem on Saturday. The conference concludes with an Everglades excursion.
